요새 서현역에서는 "영웅"이라는 뮤지컬의 포스터를 쉽게 볼 수 있습니다...

바로 이 포스터인데... 저는 이 포스터를 볼때마다...


그리고 AK 플라자 뒷편으로 시범단지 쪽으로 가는 육교 위에는 수봉이 누님의 콘서트를 알리는 현수막이 걸려있습니다... 수봉이 누님을 잘 모르는 세대들이 많다보니(저도 잘 모름) 아마도 이런 장난도 치는 사람이 생기나 봅니다...

최근에 스타트렉이 개봉하고 나서 전 세계적으로 이 작별 인사법이 유행하기 시작했다...
After this years Star Trek movie, this way of saying bye became a trend....

소위 벌컨족의 인사법으로 알려진 이 인사법...
So called the Vulcan Salute...

손을 저런 모양으로 한 다음에 Live Long and Prosper라고 말하며 상대방의 만수무강을 기원한다...
You put your hand that way and show it to the other and say "Live Long and Prosper."

미국에서는 대통령도 저러는 모양이다...
Even the president of the United States does it....

Pageslap이라는 Nicole Stamp라는 분의 블로그에서는 Obama를 이렇게 설명하고 있다.

Obama는 Spok(스타트렉의 등장인물)과 매우 유사하다. 혼혈에다가, 짧은 머리, 뾰족하게 기른 구렛나루, 일관성있는 어조, 그리고 저렇게 시간을 즐겁게 보내는것이 모두 Spok과 유사하다...

그러고 보니 진짜 그렇군...

뭐 그건 그렇고... 미국 대통령도 하길래, 나도 점심시간에 내 친구한테 저렇게 해줬다...
But anyways... I wanted to follow the trend, and did the Vulcan salute to one of my friends...


내 친구가 나의 저 모습을 보고 이랬다...
As soon as I did the Vulcan salute, my friend asked me...

뭐하는 짓이냐???
What the???

그래서 나는 대답했다...
So I asked back...

정말 몰라서 묻는거야???
Are you serious you don't know what this means???

어쨌건... 대단하다...

보통 남자가 저런식으로 여자 목소리 내면 징그러운데 너무 잘불러서 징그럽지도 않군...

이대 메가박스 여자화장실 표시판... ㅡ.ㅡ;

처음 봤을때도 그랬고, 다시 볼때마다 잠시 드는 생각이지만...
저거 아무리 봐도 여자로 보기 힘든것 같다...
난 왜 저걸 보면 홍록기 생각이 날까???

우리는 여기서 잠시 생각해볼 필요가 있다...
서비스 차원에서 고객들에게 웃음을 주기위해 저렇게 만든것인지...
아니면 아무 생각없이 Fancy하게 만들다 보니 어쩌다가 저런 작품이 탄생하게 된건지...

나는 HCI시간에 Interface는 간단 명료해야 한다고 배웠다...
저것이 우리의 일상생활속에서 화자실을 access하기 위한 하나의 interface라고 본다면,
저건 분명 실패작이다...
난 분명 언젠가 그림만 보고 저 그림이 그려진 화장실에 들어갈 뻔 했다... ㅡ.ㅡ;
다행히 순간적으로 남자화장실 그림에 핑크색이 들어갈 이유가 없어 !!! 라고 생각했길 망정이지...

Anyway... 저건 간단하지도 않고, 명확하지도 않다...
일반적으로 I would expect something like this for a restroom...
이것이 바로 standard다...
만약 색다른걸 원한다면...
적어도 헷갈리지 않을 정도로 다음과 같이 해야 한다고 생각한다...

Like someone said to me before,
everybody has their moment of frustration... but...
Thou shalt not swear in front of the public...
